The Zone have just announced that Rob Hayter has replaced Jon Parry as the band's drummer. Rob, who has played for bands including The Sanctions, Hard To Handle and The Prescence told me, "I think Dave, John and I, all have a similar, 'attack, attack, attack', playing style, which I'm sure will quickly morph into a very high-energy, and tight, live set, and we'll soon become a very tight classic rock power trio with a touch of madness (surely not the ska/pop group?! - Ed)". Dave and John are delighted with their new recruit, and Dave told me he's confident "Rob will help the band progress to the next level".
The band will soon confirm their annual performance at Guilfest. So watch this space.
